Extracorporeal Photopheresis (ECP) for the Management of Progressive Bronchiolitis Obliterans Syndrome (BOS) in Medicare-Eligible Recipients of Lung Allografts

This is an investigator initiated 20-site, industry funded study being performed under the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services’ Coverage with Evidence Development (CED) program. The primary objective is to determine the efficacy and tolerability of ECP for the treatment of refractory BOS and new BOS after lung transplantation in a large patient series.

Trial-CARE Project Manager Mary Clare Derfler, RN, MSN , has provided trial implementation leadership and a central coordinating team that provided case report form development, regulatory tracking, management of the site network, data verification, SAE reporting and tracking, site monitoring, and site budget and payments. For this study, Trial-CARE provides clinical coordination and shares responsibility for data coordination with the team of Dr. Daniel Marcus in the Division of Radiological Sciences.
